"Staying Safe" 8x8 inch Acrylic by Kelley MacDonald
During this time of quarantine I picture all my neighbors, shining and in beautiful colors, by themselves, trying to survive and keep others safe too. Hoping this doesn't last too much longer, as longing for friends and family is difficult.
"Zooming" ink&watercolor 5 x 16 by Jody Regan I have been teaching Math to my middle school students since March 16th. I miss their energy, exuberance, joy and noise. Our school year ends in two weeks. I hope they all stay healthy, and that I can see them safely come September. We are together, but it feels so alone. |
"Alone/Together - Easter" 18 x 24 oil by Pamela Copeman This is the 4th in my Covid19 Series and it depicts Easter and how alone I felt not being with my family. I added angels and lilies as signs of hope |
Alone Together 20"x20" acrylic on canvas by Sally Dean
This is a painting derived from a sketch (akakdoodle) from some random sketchbook.
I've been working from my old sketches a lot lately. I really have no idea what it means.
You tell me!
"Lotus Flowers"
8x10 acrylic on canvas paper by Mary Sheehan Winn
Lotus flowers are symbols of peace and rebirth. Never more needed than now. Anarchy is upon us.
"Quarantine Blues" 24"24" Acrylic by Paula Villanova
During the beginning of the pandemic, my daughter and I spent a fair amount of time sitting in the living room, reading, watching TV, and just surviving. What we felt we could be facing seemed epic, and hard to understand. We stayed home and coccooned, as requested by the experts to avoid or at least limit contact with the COVID-19 virus.
"Together...Alone" Pastel on man made paper by Margaret Farrell Bruno
The tide had gone out and left the dock with it's lone chair sitting solitarily in the sand. The painting is a symbol of the events of our current times. Feeling abandoned at times by those in charge. So many of us are hunkered in our houses. The flag represents how we as a nation are all effected in some way by this pandemic.
"The Gift of a Garden of Friends" 11"X14" Acrylic by Victoria Chesley Brega
Alone turning over and creating beds for an empty new yard, happily many given by friends, a little love and history from their place to mine, we garden in hope together.
